Exploring Banff with a cup of tea: our favourite spots for a picnic

There is nothing more magical than savouring a cup of tea in the great outdoors, surrounded by the majestic peaks of Banff. Whether you are an experienced hiker, a lover of leisurely strolls, or simply in search of a peaceful spot to disconnect, here are some of our favourite places for a picnic with an infusion from Jolene's Tea House.

1. The shores of Two Jack Lake: Easily accessible by car or bike, this impressive lake is perfect for a day of picnicking. Bring a thermos of our wild blueberry iced tea and settle on the rocks to admire the shifting reflections on the water.

2. The viewpoint at Tunnel Mountain: A short hike, but a great reward. The summit offers a 360° view of the Bow Valley. It is the ideal spot to sip on cold-infused tea while taking a well-deserved break.

3. Cascade Gardens: In the heart of downtown, this flower-filled garden provides a charming setting for an impromptu tea break. Prepare a jug of your favorite tea for a moment of relaxation surrounded by greenery.

4. Surprise Corner: Little known to visitors, this viewpoint offers a unique perspective on the Fairmont Banff Springs. An idyllic spot for a romantic picnic, accompanied by wild berry tea or a mocktail made with our homemade tea syrup.

5. The banks of the Bow River: Whether on foot or by bike, this tranquil promenade is dotted with benches and quiet nooks to rest. A ginger and lemongrass tea will keep your energy light and your mind clear.
